What We Do

The American Dance Guild strives to uphold artistic excellence and provide accessible opportunities to dance artists. Our initiatives include educational conferences with dance artists from around the world, an annual festival in New York City, BareBones: an informal choreography showing, prestigious awards for luminary artists, a summer dance intensive at Peridance, a scholarship program in collaboration with Jacob’s Pillow, DanceScope: a publication on dance, and archival video streaming. 

ADG’s annual festival connects artists from around the world for a series of performances and masterclasses. Each festival pays homage to influential figures in the dance community and presents the work of distinguished and emerging choreographers. Works by 30-40 choreographers from around the globe are presented every year. A vast range of dance styles and forms from multiple generations are celebrated.
