SEEKING DANCERS:
Versatile, classically trained, male and female dancers with strong ballet and jazz technique as well as improvisational skills. Tap and hip hop a plus and should be demonstrated in the audition video. Please include headshot and resume. Prior ship experience a plus.

IMPORTANT: If contracted, all dancers will be trained by our in-house aerial trainers to perform various aerial choreography in addition to dance choreography. Should be willing and able to train and perform at heights up to 25 feet.

SEEKING VOCALISTS:
Cirque-style singers with excellent vocal technique and versatility needed for Broadway, Cirque-style and Pop productions. Males: Seeking tenors, must have a strong G. Females: Altos must have a strong belt to a an F, Sopranos must have a high C. Audition submissions should include a classical, broadway and pop selection. Please include headshot and resume. North Carolina Dance Theatre has paid Male Apprentice positions available for the 2010-2011 Season. Ballet Emmanuel 2010/2011 Company Auditions

Ballet Emmanuel is auditioning company members for the 2010/2011 season on March 18th and 19th, 2010. Contract is for paid, full-time employment from August through May. Dance Teaching Artists Required for Luna Kids Dance

Luna is now hiring teaching artists to start January 2010. Luna’s teaching positions involve teaching in any of the following model programs of the CIDL: studio laboratory, early childhood, school-based or MPACT (Moving Parents and Children Together) in accordance with Luna Kids Dance philosophy. Teachers at Luna also provide administrative support, coordinate projects, manage programs, document their work with students and teachers, engage in active inquiry with peers and commit to ongoing professional development.

Requirements
• Completion of entire LKD workshop series, or intention
to do so.
• Minimum 4 years experience teaching dance to children
• Adherence to LKD teaching philosophy
• Ability to work as vibrant team member of learning
organization
• MA, MFA or BA, BFA with equivalent work, education,
life experience relevant to mission and vision of

Compensation: Starting salary $40,000 (+) based on full-time equivalent-negotiated to percent of time and commensurate with experience, and position. Full TIme Dance Instructor

Vergine’s Dance Studio is looking to hire a full time Ballet, Jazz, Tap Instructor. The position involves teaching and choreographing for recitals, shows, competitions, and for all levels from beginner through advanced and ages 3 through adult. The position is working 30 hours per week and the pay is excellent. Some relocation expenses are provided and other perks may be available depending on your personal needs. The cost of living is comparable to Midwest prices with reasonable housing, but with no state income tax. An energetic and positive attitude is important and past teaching experience in a studio environment or the equivalent is a must. The job is available this summer or fall 2009. A minimum commitment of nine (9) months is required for the fall season and may go longer if mutually agreed by both parties. A reel, DVD, or online video (youtube, myspace, etc.) of your work is very helpful. A resume with references and a headshot is required to apply.

Dance Visions audition

Dance Visions is
seeking a female dancer and an apprentice beginning now. Long term commitment needed. Performances and showcases mostly in Long
Island and Manhattan. Company performs in libraries, for schools, museums and

Dancers should be extremely versatile and musical.

CALL FOR ENTRIES: CityDance Ensemble Choreography Commission

CityDance Ensemble, “Washington’s preeminent modern dance company” (The Washington Times), seeks promising choreographers to create dances for the company’s 2009-2010 Next series. Next is an annual concert series that presents work by today’s up-and-coming dance artists. www.citydance.net


Choreography Requirements
• Choreographers will be considered for either new or existing work.
• Commissioned works can be up to 15 minutes in length.
• Commissioned works must be suitable for up to seven dancers.
• Choreographers will be given 20 hours to create and rehearse the commissioned work on the company.
• Music must come from an existing score.


Stipend & Travel

• Chosen choreographers will receive a $1,000 stipend.
• Chosen choreographers will spend one week with CityDance (August/September 2009), with travel, housing, and per diem covered.
• Commission includes a modest budget for costumes, props, and other technical needs.


Submissions

• Choreographers must submit a DVD containing no more than two works made in the last three years. (If you're submitting an existing work for consideration of the commission, the entire work must be included.) Maximum length of DVD is 20 minutes. Submitted DVDs will not be returned.
• Choreographers must write and submit a one-page narrative describing the piece under consideration. For consideration of an existing work, please include all technical, musical, and other credits. For consideration of a new work, please outline the number of dancers required, music used, and overall theme of the piece.
• Include a resume with mailing address, email address, and phone number.


Deadlines

• All submissions must be received by Monday, March 2, 2009.
• Choreographers will be notified of their status by Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

Professor for Classical dance

At the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main in the Department of Contemporary and Classical  dance, there is an opening for a W2 Professor for Classical dance starting 1. October 2009.
We are looking for international renowned dancers, ballet masters and/or educators with vast stage experience in Classical, neoclassical and contemporary dance repertoire who specialize in training female dancers and point work. Further duties will  include teaching repertoire and variations, as well as running rehearsals and setting ballets and dance pieces.
